Workshops

Porcelain painting workshops in Lorne, on Victoria's Surf Coast. A relaxed couple of hours at the bench, painting bisque-fired porcelain. No experience needed, and you leave with pieces that are yours.

What happens

You choose from a range of pre-made bisque pieces: earrings, pendants and small decorations, and paint them your way. I'll show you a few techniques to begin with, including fine line work, loose pattern and colour washes. After that the time is yours. Some people work slowly at a single piece, others cover the table. Both are right.

Everything you paint is glazed and fired in my kiln after the session, then returned to you ready to wear or to give.

What's included

  • Around two and a half hours
  • Small groups, ten people at most
  • Beginner-friendly. No experience or equipment needed
  • All materials, glazing and firing
  • Held in Lorne

Upcoming dates

Nothing in the diary just now. Dates are announced here first, and bookings open through the shop. Join my email list and I'll send a note when the next one opens.

Bookings and cancellations

Places are limited to ten and materials are prepared for each person by hand. If you can no longer attend, your booking is not refundable, but you are very welcome to pass your place to someone else. Just let me know their name before the session and I'll update the list.

If I have to cancel or reschedule, you will be offered a full refund or a place at the next session, whichever you prefer.

Private groups

I also run sessions for small private groups, capped at ten: birthdays, hen's days, team afternoons, or a few friends after an excuse to sit down and make something together. Get in touch and we'll find a date.
